Pemberton, a pharmacist in Atlanta, was inspired by the simple
curiosity. One afternoon in 1886, he prepared a caramel-colored liquid, and a
once ready he took him to the nearby Jacobs’ Pharmacy. Here the substance was mixed with carbonated water and was made
taste to the pharmacy customers who immediately appreciated
this new drink. So, Jacob’s Pharmacy put the product up for sale.
