BOTANICAL SPECIES: Origanum majorana L.

BACKGROUNDS: West Asia and Boreal Africa. It is grown in central and southern Europe, where it is also found in wild form (Mediterranean region).

DESCRIPTION: Marjoram leaves are green-gray in color. They have an aromatic camphor smell and bitter taste.

USES AND APPLICATIONS: in medicine the flowering grass is used in the form of a stimulating infusion and ointment. As a condiment, in the food field, it is used both fresh and dried for the flavoring of many dishes.

STORAGE METHODS: The product should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from sources of light and heat.
