BOTANICAL SPECIES: Schinus molle L.

ORIGINS: originally from Peru and Chile, now widespread in other parts of America and also introduced in southern France and other Mediterranean countries.

DESCRIPTION: these are small drupes of pink color, fragile and carrying a hard core seed. They smell and taste similar to those of pepper; they do not seem to contain piperine.

USES AND APPLICATIONS: pink pepper is used as an aromatic condiment and also in medicine.

STORAGE METHODS: The product should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from sources of light and heat.

MINIMUM SHELF LIFE:  24/36 months in compliance with the storage methods.
