BOTANICAL SPECIES: Myristica Fragrans.
ORIGINS: it is native to the Moluccas Islands (Banda Islands) and the islands east of India. Important origins also include the island of Grenada, the Malacca Peninsula, the West Indies and the Philippines.
DESCRIPTION: these are the seeds of Myristica Fragrans, a large evergreen tree that can bear fruit even for ninety years. The shelled walnut has a finely cross-linked surface of brownish-gray color, white-gray in the grooves. The section appears marbled gray-brown. There are variable sizes, hence the value and class of belonging. They are hard, oily, aromatic, warm and with an intense and characteristic smell.
USES AND APPLICATIONS: they serve mainly as a condiment, for the extraction of essential oil and in pharmacies.
STORAGE: The product should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from sources of light and heat.
MINIMUM SHELF LIFE: 24/36 months in compliance with the storage methods.
