ORIGINS: chives, also called simply chives, is an indigenous plant throughout Northern Europe and Asia and North America.
DESCRIPTION: shape of thick tufts, consisting of several narrow, cylindrical and whitish bulbs, from which the leaflets sprout. These are thin, almost threadlike, with a very intense aromatic scent similar to that of the onion, but perhaps a little sweeter. Even dehydrated, chives retain its most genuine qualities and antiscorbutic, antiseptic, cardiotonic, diuretic, healing, laxative and stimulating properties.
USES AND APPLICATIONS: dehydrated chives are used in the food sector in general: from cooking and gastronomy, where it brings a lot of flavor to salads, boiled potatoes, eggs, soups and sauces, to industry.
STORAGE METHODS: The product should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from sources of light and heat.
MINIMUM SHELF LIFE: 24/36 months in compliance with the storage methods.
