BOTANICAL SPECIES: Cinnamomum Zeylanicum (Ceylanicum).
ORIGINS: Queen cinnamon has its genetic point in the island of Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon), but is now widely cultivated in the southern part of India, Madagascar and the Seychelles.
DESCRIPTION: it is the bark of the young branches of the genus Cinnamomum in the form of light, fragile torches, with an outer surface of reddish yellow color, characteristic, uniform light. Its smell is finely aromatic, pleasant and spicy, as well as the taste. The composition of the product varies according to the origins and harvests.
USES AND APPLICATIONS: it is widely used as an aromatic condiment to enrich food preserves, sweets and liqueurs; it is used in pharmacies and essential oil is obtained from it. It is also used to flavor Mulled Wine and for Biedermeier compositions.
STORAGE METHODS: The product should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from sources of light and heat.
MINIMUM SHELF LIFE: 24/36 months in compliance with the storage methods.
