BACKGROUNDS: it is native to Central and South America, Mexico, China, India and Central Africa. The most requested qualities come from Central Africa.
DESCRIPTION: they are the elongated, subconical berries of the Capsicum frutescens (cultivated in warm and tropical countries), formed by leathery pericarp, smooth, shriveled when the fruit is dry. Orange red or yellow in color, they have a barely sensitive smell and a strong, burning and characteristic taste.
USES AND APPLICATIONS: as a widely used aromatic condiment.
STORAGE METHODS: The product should be stored in a cool and dry place, away from sources of light and heat.
MINIMUM SHELF LIFE: 24/36 months in compliance with the storage methods.
